3 Must-Watch Marvel Movies to Better Understand Spider-Man: No Way Home

Undoubtedly, Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of the biggest blockbusters of 2021. There have been a lot of speculations since the trailer was out. Although we could predict that the previous Spider-Man villains would make a comeback in this movie, only a few could imagine the comeback of the previous Spider-Men!

If you have not watched this movie yet or could not understand some parts of it while watching, we are here to help you! Following are some of the Marvel movies that you must watch to understand this latest hit better!

1. The Spider-Man Trilogy (Original)

The recent Spider-Man film brings back the villains from the multiverse. If you have not watched the original trilogy before, you would probably not recognise them – Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Sandman.

There is a scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home where Doctor Octavius calls out Peter’s name. When Peter comes and unmasks himself, he says, “You are not Peter Parker’. You won’t get this scene if you have not watched the original trilogy.

In this film, we also get to hear the famous dialogue “With great power comes great responsibility” that Uncle Ben told in the first film to Tobey Maguire.

2. Spider-Man: Far from Home

This film was released after Endgame. This Spider-Man film was primarily about Mysterio, who threatened fake about the multiverse. However, the end sequence of this film is crucial if you want to understand the setting of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

After Mysterio revealed the identity of Spider-Man, Peter went to Dr Strange to seek help.

3. WandaVision

If you have watched Spider-Man: No Way Home, you will know that the last credit scene is itself a trailer of The Multiverse of Madness and Dr Strange. This Spider-Man instalment will

show how Dr Strange fractured the multiverse with his spell, and he approached Wanda to get help.

During their conversation, Wanda referred to Westview town, which she called home in WandaVision. You can refresh your memories by watching it again on Hotstar.

Besides these three, you should also watch other Marvel movies such as Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, What If…?, Doctor Strange and of course Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2.

For instance, this Spider-Man film refers to Venom in its mid-credit scene. In this scene, Eddie Brocks sits in a bar and is having a conversation with the bartender, and it revolves around Thanos, Iron Man and the blip.

Similarly, the Amazing Spider-Man part 1 and 2 Help you know the villains better, especially, Electro and Lizard. Thus, if you are not well acquitted with these Marvel movies, watch them before starting with Spider-Man: No Way Home.
