5 Indoor Kids’ Activities for a Fun Day!

Since the beginning of the pandemic, movement restrictions have made it difficult for kids to have playtime outside. Sure, the kidsgo out now and then, but not in the same unrestricted manner as before. So, we bring you a few indoor kids’ activities you can do to have a fun time with them.

Play is an essential part of personal development in children, and giving them new things to do will help them learn more, faster.

1. Start a Scavenger Hunt

Most kids love adventure, and what better way to set it up indoors than a treasure hunt. It’s super easy and exciting at the same time. All you have to do is hide clues about various items (like their toys) and string each one with the other.

At the end of the hunt, you could keep a clue that leads to a new toy or a present. It’s fun, educational, and forces them to think – everything you would want for them at that age.

2. Compete with brainteasers

Want your children to take part in group activities? Why not call their friends home and start one of the most interesting indoor kids’ activities ever? Depending on your child’s age, you can buy a book on brainteasers or pick off good ones from the internet and make a compilation.

Brain teasers are healthy, competitive and allow them to learn while playing. Plus, they do not have to be hooked to electronics all the time.

4. Make a sensory bin

Since most kids miss out on their much-needed free play outdoors, a sensory bin is an incredible hack to enable the same experience inside. All you need to do is fill a bucket with rice and hide little toy bugs and other playthings inside.

Ask them to dig their hands in the rice and find out the toys. To make things a little more exciting, you could also tell them to guess what they have picked before taking it out. This will enable them to use their sense of touch to identify things and memorize shapes!
